A young american couple,played by katherine ross and sam elliot, travel to england after recieving a phone call about a job they applied for.As they are travelling down a country road on their motorbike they become involved in an accident,with their bike a wreck they are taken to a large country house to recover,but not long after they arrive a group of other people turn up.It soon becomes clear that something is not right as one by one the guests begin to die in various ways.Ross soon realises that it is no accident that she is at the house and the awful truth becomes clear.The film itself is pretty good and the death scenes are quite inventive and well staged,there is a burning,a pretty horrible drowning and one poor guy chokes on a chicken bone and has to have his throat cut to remove it before he dies.If you havent see this film before then its worth a look.This old uk pre-cert tape turns up every now and again on ebay if you want to track it down,but the film often plays on tv and there have been a few re-releases on video over the years so it shouldn't be to hard to see it.
