While on holiday in rome a british man,played by david hemmings,witnesses the murder of a psychiatrist by a serial killer who has allready killed many victims,soon he realises that he could be next and the race is on to identify and catch the maniac before its to late.This is classic argento and is easily one of his best films,its a little hard to follow in places and like most of these types of films,things are not allways what they seem.the performances are good,the camera work and musical score are excellent and the killings are pretty graphic including an allmost unwatchable scene where one poor victim has his teeth smashed out on the corner of a table.A highly collectable pre-cert tape thats not easy to find these days,but there are plenty of other releases around on video and dvd so there is no excuse not to see this italian directors masterpiece.
