In the early 1970s Donald Neilson was one of the most wanted men in the uk.Known as the black panther he robbed many post offices and beat up and even killed anyone who got in his way.For him,everything was going fine untill one day he abducted a young girl called Lesley Whittle and demanded a ransom of £50,000 for her wealthy parents.After setting up the collection place and time things went badly wrong and a couple of months later Leslies body was discovered hanging in an underground drainage shaft,the clues here led to Neilsons capture but he allways insisted that he never killed her.This is a very good film based on true life facts and donald sumpter is excellent as the evil neilson,but most will find the movie to slow moving and grim to be enjoyable.Still worth a look though but you will have to search quite hard to pick a copy of this pre-cert video.
